Heated Mirror Glass for Tesla Model Y – Left or Right

A smaller repair.
Replace damaged mirror glass while keeping your working mirror housing and adjuster. Choose the vehicle's left or right side, with a backing plate and heater film included.

Working assembly.
Choose a glass insert when the mirror face is cracked or damaged and the housing, adjustment mechanism and mounting are still sound.
A broken housing or motor needs an assembly repair. A glass insert replaces the reflective face and its backing; it does not repair the folding mechanism or adjustment motor.
Left or right.
One side per order.
Sit in the car and face forward. Left (LH) is the car's left side; Right (RH) is its right side. These names stay the same whether your steering wheel is on the left or the right.

Heated glass.
Clear about dimming.
The built-in heater film connects through two individual metal terminals. This is the heating-only version: it does not provide electrochromic automatic dimming.
Mirror heating.
Two heater terminals and an attached backing plate are included with either side.
Choose electrochromic glass.
Automatic dimming uses a separate electrical connection. Choose a mirror-glass replacement with that function to preserve it.
Glass numbers.
Assembly numbers.
The OE number on a complete mirror assembly identifies the assembly, not just the replacement glass. For a glass repair, the reference on the original insert is the useful starting point.

How do left-hand drive and right-hand drive affect my choice?
LH/RH identifies the side of the vehicle. LHD/RHD identifies the steering-wheel position. Mirror glass also has market-specific optical specifications, so a side designation alone does not establish the original glass specification. Use the complete glass number when preserving the original optics and auto-dimming function.
Does a model year identify every mirror-glass version?
Year, vehicle generation and mirror specification work together. Tesla's original Model Y and the refreshed Juniper are separate vehicle generations. Choose the glass specification for the actual mirror fitted to your vehicle.

Release the damaged glass.
Protect the housing, support the glass and release its mounting tabs with a suitable plastic trim tool. Wear eye protection and cut-resistant gloves.

Reconnect the heater circuit.
Connect the two heater wires to the individual terminals. Keep the wiring clear of the mounting clips. The additional auto-dimming circuit is separate.

Seat, adjust and test.
Seat the backing evenly on the adjuster. Check secure attachment, mirror movement and heating, then adjust the view while parked.
