- Saturate & Lubricate: Soak the sponge in a bucket of car wash soap and water. Crucial: Always keep the surface lubricated; Do not use the sponge on dry paint.
- Glide Gently: Using the active cleaning side, glide the sponge back and forth over the wet surface with light pressure. Let the material do the work—no heavy scrubbing is required.
- Rinse & Feel: Rinse the area with clean water. Run your bare hand over the paint; if it feels completely smooth, move on to the next section.
- Clean & Store: Rinse the sponge thoroughly with clean water, squeeze out the excess, and let it air dry in a cool, shaded place.

Will this sponge scratch my clear coat?
No, provided it is used correctly. The key is lubrication. Because of our dual-layer design, the absorbent sponge side holds plenty of soapy water. As long as you keep the surface wet and soapy and use light pressure, it will not scratch your paint.
How is this better than a traditional detailing clay bar?
It’s faster, easier to hold, and lasts significantly longer. Traditional clay bars must be kneaded constantly, and if you drop a clay bar on the ground, you have to throw it away. If you drop our sponge, just rinse it off with a hose and get right back to work!
