In these newly identified incidents, the NHTSA found that FSD "did not detect a degraded state, and/or it did not present the driver with an alert with adequate time for the driver to react." The Technological Debate: Tesla's Vision-Only Approach

As the investigation transitions fully into the Engineering Analysis phase, the next steps require the NHTSA to gather significantly more detailed information from Tesla.
