Update, August 19, 2026: Tesla’s own ride-along event pages later showed some German cities running through August 31, 2026 — a further stretch past the March 2026 date in this note. Owner FSD (Supervised) as a sold EU feature is still the later country-approval story (Tesery: Dutch RDW, April 2026). Booking more passenger seats is not that letter.
On December 3, 2025 Sawyer Merritt posted that Tesla had extended its European FSD (Supervised) demo program three months, through the end of March 2026, after high demand. Tesla EU policy manager Ivan Komušanac wrote on LinkedIn that Tesla was offering ride-alongs in Germany, France, and Italy while working toward Supervised approval in Europe, and that people who missed December slots should stay tuned. Sawyer’s Dec. 3 post; Komušanac’s LinkedIn note. Tesla’s event pages list the product as a passenger-seat ride with Tesla staff. This is calendar math on a demo. It is not owner FSD on European VINs.
Key facts
- Old window: Coverage said the first wave was aimed at December 2025.
- New window in this story: Through March 31, 2026 (plus later page updates into summer 2026).
- Where, that week: Germany, France, Italy. Denmark/Switzerland opened a few days later — Tesery: Dec. 9 ride-along expansion.
- What this is not: RDW/UNECE approval, or unsupervised Robotaxi in Berlin.
More slots vs a software SKU
Extending a sold-out demo is what you do when regulators have not signed owner software. The Netherlands holiday campaign is Tesery’s Future Holidays note. Same stack: Tesla’s car, Tesla’s driver, your passenger seat.
FAQ
Did Tesla say FSD would be on sale in the EU by March 2026?
Komušanac said they were working toward approval. The extension is the demo, not the SKU.
Can I bring my own car?
These pages are Tesla-hosted ride-alongs, not an owner toggle.
Is this the same as the Rome mayor’s drive?
Same week, same Supervised demo program. The mayor ride is a separate Tesery note.
For European owners: a longer booking window does not put v14 on your VIN. Watch the actual country decision.
