At Tesla’s “Future of Autonomy Visualized” event in Miami in early December 2025, a video of an Optimus humanoid handing out water bottles went around: the robot’s hands went to its head as if peeling off a VR headset, bottles went flying, then it fell backward. Electrek (Dec. 7), Mashable, and Jalopnik read the motion as the off-camera operator yanking a headset while the control link was still live. Tesla did not post a technical incident report. The clip is evidence that that bottle-stacking demo was being driven by a person. It is not a recall, and it is not proof every Optimus on a Tesla stage is empty of autonomy software.
