On December 9, 2025 BOXABL’s SEC exhibit described an agreement for Tesla: design, engineer, and build a pilot Micromenity — a compact modular building of the sort already seen at some European Superchargers. Sawyer Merritt posted the same day that Tesla had formally contracted BOXABL for that pilot unit. Read the SEC exhibit. Open Sawyer Merritt’s X post. That is a pilot structure. It is not BOXABL houses for sale at every stall, and it is not Tesla buying BOXABL.

EVAnnex and other recaps called it a test of modular amenities at Supercharger sites. Europe already has small amenity buildings at some locations. BOXABL’s Casita factory photos are the product family, not a picture of the Tesla site. Until Tesla publishes a site photo with a BOXABL box plugged in, treat this as a contract, not a grand opening.
