Common issues or safety precautions when installing mud flaps on Tesla Model Y
Avoiding Blind Spots and Obstacles: Care needs to be taken during installation to avoid contact with curbs, curb and over-compressed mudguard objects and to ensure that there are no obstacles around the vehicle.
Tool Selection: Offset or variable speed Phillips screwdrivers, flathead screwdrivers and marking pens are recommended. Avoid the use of power tools and use only hand tools to avoid over-tightening
Check wheelbase and suspension: Especially for vehicles with modified wheels and suspension, the wheelbase needs to be checked for proper fitment to ensure that the fenders do not interfere with the normal operation of the vehicle
Installation position: the fender should be flush with the ground to ensure that it is not too high or too low to affect the aerodynamics of the vehicle.
Material Selection: Choose high-quality fender materials such as polyurethane plastic or high-strength nylon, which are resistant to abrasion and corrosion.
Installation Steps:
- Loosen the set screw by the tire.
- Align the fender with the mounting position.
- Use the screws to secure the fender to the vehicle.
- Check the position of the fender and the tightness of the screws.
- Avoiding damage: Plastic fenders may break when encountering speed bumps, so it is advisable to choose a stronger material!
Maintenance and inspection: Regularly check the condition of the fenders and replace damaged or missing parts in time.
Safe Driving: After installing the fenders, make sure that they do not interfere with your driving
